Mallard duck

Mallard duck are most popular ducks. These ducks are small ducks and are beautiful also. These are 20-23 inches in length with a boat like body shape and 30-40 inch wingspan.These are  600-800 grams in weight. They are also called water fowl. These ducks are hunted on a large scale and these are also eaten by humans. 

  

These ducks can fly also.

is that male are most beautiful and most time they make sound like quake quake.

Breeding of mallard ducks

Mallard ducks can breed at home in nest box.A mallard duck pair will produce one brood 4-15 eggs. Female mallard duck incubate them for 25-30 days. On hatching some chicks are yellow while others are black+yellow .Chicks are cute and fluffy.
